This whiskey tour is rolling straight into Lynchburg from Nashville.  You can hop on the bus, kick back, and enjoy the ride to the historic and picturesque Jack Daniel's Distillery. You'll have the option upon arrival (or in advance) to purchase a Jack Daniels Distillery Tour with tasting or you can opt for the non-tasting "Dry County" tour (both at own expense). You'll have time to peruse downtown Lynchburg, just a 5-minute walk from the distillery, and grab a quick bite to eat. We've got some suggestions! Don't forget to stop in the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and grab some limited bottles of whiskey.

This Jack and Back tour picks-up near the 5th Avenue Korean Veterans Blvd intersection in downtown Nashville at 9:00am. Your guide will have a cooler on board stocked with ice and water. Feel free to bring your adult beverages of choice. The group will depart promptly at 9:10am for the 1.5 hour trip to Lynchburgh, TN. The trip is approximately one third on the interstate and the other part takes you through the small town of Shelbyville, a town famous for the Tennessee Walking Horse. After strolling through Shelbyville, the remaining thirty minute commute takes you through picturesque rolling hills and farms into Moore County, only one of three counties where distilling was legal in Tennessee until just a few years ago.

Upon arriving at Jack Daniel's distillery, you'll disembark the bus and your guide will point you in the direction of the entrance to the distillery. Here you have the option to sign up for a tasting tour or a non-tasting tour (at own expense) if you haven't already pre-purchased.  The non-tasting tour runs approximately 1.25-minutes. The tasting tour runs approximately 1.5-hours. The tours are on a first come first served basis.   Book in advance and book your tour with Jack to begin between 11:15am and 12:45pm. You'll have about an hour and a half to peruse the small square of downtown Lynchburg. Don't forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the square (at own expense).

Before you leave, take the opportunity to visit the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and purchase some rare and Tennessee-only bottles of Jack Daniel's or check out the selection of branded Jack items at the downtown general store. This tour will depart Lynchburg at 2:30pm and drop off at the starting point at approximately 4:00pm.

Historic RCA Studio B opened in 1957 and was once the recording home of popular music titans such as Elvis Presley, Chet Atkins, Eddy Arnold, and the Everly Brothers is both a classroom for Nashville area students and a popular cultural attraction. RCA Studio B first became known as one of the cradles of the “Nashville Sound” in the 1960s. A sophisticated style characterized by background vocals and strings, the Nashville Sound both revived the popularity of country music and helped establish Nashville as an international recording center.

Hitmakers in Studio B have included Eddy Arnold, Waylon Jennings, Bobby Bare, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves, Willie Nelson, and Floyd Cramer, among others. For many years, Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Chet Atkins managed RCA’s Nashville operation and produced hundreds of hits in Studio B.

Studio B has also been home to numerous innovations in recording practices, including the development of the “Nashville number system,” a musician’s shorthand for notating a song’s chord structure, which facilitates the creation of individual parts while retaining the integrity of the song. Tours of Studio B depart hourly between 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. In order to guarantee your spot on a tour, please follow the instructions listed on your voucher immediately after purchase.

Founded by brothers Charles and Herbert Hatch, this iconic shop opened in Nashville in 1879. For much of the twentieth century, the shop's vibrant posters served as a leading advertising medium for Southern entertainment and included work for many members of the Grand Ole Opry including Bill Monroe, Minnie Pearl, and Ernest Tubb as well as Rock & Roll icons such as Elvis and Chuck Berry. Thousands of posters and billboard-size advertisements were also printed for the traveling vaudeville and minstrel shows, circuses, and carnivals barnstorming across the country.  In 1992, Hatch Show Print became a historic property under the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

On a 1 hour guided experience, learn more about this iconic letterpress poster shop. The tour of legendary Hatch Show Print will engage your senses: listen to the presses crank as you learn about the history of Hatch Show Print, see the brilliantly colored posters that put the shop on the map in the last century and compare them with the posters printed today for your favorite entertainers, handle some of the tools of the trade and smell the ink as you pull your own keepsake print in the print shop-within-a-print shop Space for Design.
